Why the stock part is absolute pain
The Gen2 B58 utilizes a plastic intake manifold with a built-in intercooler. When pushing past 30 PSI, that plastic manifold has been known to physically crack and explode like a bomb. Furthermore, the stock core heat-soaks incredibly fast during back-to-back half-mile pulls. The CSF billet manifold will never crack under boost, and its superior core keeps Intake Air Temps (IATs) literally freezing. You can hot-lap the car all day and it will never pull timing.
