Why the stock part is absolute pain
With a CustomROM tune (like BM3), the car knows exactly how much 'corn juice' is in the tank. If you fill up with E30, the car makes 500hp. If you find an E85 pump and fill it to the brim, the ECU automatically scales the ignition timing and fueling to make 650hp. No pulling over, no flashing maps on the side of the road. It is the ultimate safety net for big power builds, preventing you from ever running lean if you get a bad batch of fuel.
